THE GREAT SNOPOCALYPSE OF SNOWKANE 2008

As you may have heard on the Today Show or other national news, "Snowkane" has received a record-breaking 59.6 inches of snow in December, most of which started December 17. This may seem like a joke to many, but no it's more of a Snopocalypse.

The weeks around Christmas were not spend last-minute shopping, rather they were spent last-minute shoveling.

The good news: The Spokane County Courthouse closed business December 18 and 19! And Cummins Northwest closed business December 18.

The bad news: The shoveling, the roads, the wind, the cold, the lack of stocking stuffers due to lack of last-minute shopping on Christmas Eve, the roof-shovling, the parental units departing Snowkane 2 days before Christmas to avoid getting stuck in the midst of the Snopocalypse...I could go on forever.
This is the view from our kitchen window.

This is Ryan shoveling snow off the roof, much to his dismay, but at the strict instruction of his lovely wife. On the news this evening, they informed the public that roof shoveling is not necessary. :)

This is the rockin' backpack that Tatum gets to ride in for outdoor adventures.
Told ya she loves the snow!
Pugsly is not so sure about this weather.
