Family Fundays!

Miss Tatum had been asking since Monday to go the "carrotsel" or the carousel.  She has been before, but she passes by it when her class goes on walks to the park. She wanted to ride the "graf" and the other zoo animals. So, we went to TWO Carousels this weekend. :) We also spent our time Joggin' for the Noggin' to help raise money for brain cancer. And we were lucky enough to see Auntie & Uncle KGK in Couer D'Alene. Sunday was spent putting up the deer feeder and riding the wheeler.
Life is good today.

 Happy girl.

Spokane River is crazy full right now.
Visiting Nana and Papa's house. :)

It was a long job, but Tatum did just great!  Her legs were sore though.

Nan & Pop

Dear Tatum,

You are so excited this week because your Nana & Papa, or "Nan" and "Pop" as you have called them lately, are moving so close to you!  Their new house is only 45 mins from our front door to their front door, and you think that is the coolest thing!  You just have to make sure you potty first.

It is so special to watch you with your Nana & Papa. You get so excited when you hear they are coming and you have the most ecstatic look on your face.  You get this huge grin that literally stretches at least 3 inches across your gorgeous little face. Your eyes have a bright-blue sparkle. It's awe-some.

You got to spend pretty-much the whole weekend at their new house.  Mama & Daddy were unpacking boxes and furniture, but you were just enjoying your freedom. You played in the rock pile, unpacked all of "your" boxes that Nana brought for you (filled with TOYS, BOOKS, and a TEASET!), and of course helped keep Papa occupied by fighting your naps. :)  Your new room is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing little view of the rolling meadow between the mountains. You'll probably see deer, turkey, coyotes, and a lot of pretty BIRDIES out your window.

You sat by the pond with Nana and loved checking out the geese.  Nana told you to look at the Ducks and you said, "No those are geese Nana!" Nana was so proud, and so was Daddy! You love going to the pond and sneaking up on them, tip-toeing as quiet as possible.

You are such a loved little girl.  We all love you so much.  And we're so happy that you have such a special bond with Nan & Pop. We can't wait until they're here for good.

Love,

Daddy & Mommy

Happy Mama's Day!

What a wonderful weekend we've had.  Daddy & TBug spoiled me rotten all weekend, and I loved every minute of it!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful baby girl and and an amazing husband and father to our daughter. We enjoyed every minute of our time together this weekend.

Tatum, you are the most amazing little girl.  I am so lucky to have you as my baby. Thank you for being such a rockstar 2 1/2 year old!

Tatum is almost 33 months old!

Dear Tatum,

We can't believe you're almost 33 months old!  You will be 33 months (or 2 years, 8 months) on May 17. What an amazing little girl you are.  You are SO funny and keep Daddy & Mommy very entertained.  We are constantly laughing at the silly things you say.  So far, you don't have any really bad words in your vocabulary, and for that your mama and daddy are so proud (because we know it's hard for them to not say those words at home...). You sometimes talk "potty talk" but you quicky change the subject when we let you know. You love to tell knock knock jokes, sing songs, and say funny things.  If we laugh, you repeat!

Your favorite activities are: swimming at school, READING (always has been), going to the library, hiking, swinging, and anything outside!  We take trips to the library every Saturday and you get to pick out 4 new books each week.  You are learning great respect for libraries and library books!  Your Grandma Gail would be so proud. :) We spend as much time as possible outside, and we love to try new parks.  Mama calls it "park-hopping", which has taken the place of "bar-hopping" in your Mama & Daddy's life.

You are so smart.  You can spell your name, write part of it (T-A-T), count to 25 (with a few missed), say your ABC's, almost tell time, point out all the letters on the keyboard, and you know most numbers.  You are full of fun knowledge!

We also think you're absolutely gorgeous. We love your golden blonde curls and your bright blue eyes!

There is one thing we are VERY proud of this month though...YOU DITCHED YOUR BINKY!  You had done quite well in the past 8 months or so, using it only at naptime.  But Mama took you to the dentist a month ago and he said it was time.  You mailed it off to a baby who needed it more than you, and never looked back!  You will have be one month binky-free this weekend!  We are so proud of you, big girl!

Tatum, we love you so much. Thank you for being such an amazing little girl.

Love, Mama & Daddy

Easter 2011

As my lovely friend (Miss Amber) so kindly pointed out, I haven't updated my blog in over 3 weeks!  Yikes!  We've been very busy.  We spent Easter weekend playing with KGK and last weekend Nana & Papa were visiting!  Easter was filled with fun.  Tatum hosted her 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt!  The chickens were protective of their eggs, so all guests were asked to wear camo...camo was provided of course. The kiddos had a blast! 6 under 6! There were so many eggs, Mama went a little overboard on Oriental Trading Co...but the kids were thrilled! :) I wonder if Spring has finally arrived...

The start line!

The Easter Bunny came to our house!  Tatum said, "WHAT? He brought me THIS???"
