Dear Duchess

Dear Duchess, 

Thank you. 

Thank you for being my brother's first love.

Thank you for teaching him that true love does exist. 

Thank you for walking beside him as he journeyed through his 20's.

Thank you for walking beside him on his road to recovery.

Thank you for sleeping next to him when he was lonely.

Thank you for showing him that unconditional love is real.

Thank you for traveling with him wherever he needed you to, growing a stronger bond each time.

Thank you, Duch, for being his best friend. Through thick and thin, good times and bad, hospitals and trucks, Palm trees and mountains. 

Here's to my second favorite dog of all time. I know today you'll be at rest. And today you'll be chasing tennis balls with Pugs.

Dear 2014

Dear 2014,

Goodbye. So long. Farewell. 

You were another blessed year for us. A year of joy, health, happiness, and just plain being blessed.

Our highlights were trips to Flathead, half marathons, hunting trip sans Nuggets, graduation from Kindergarten, entry to Preschool, and another blessed year employed and happy. 

We love a new year, a new start, and a fresh time. 

Here's to 2015.
