Dear Beach

Dear Beach,
You feed our souls. You melt our stress. You shrink our age. You make us whole.

Today we ventured out into the pouring rain to see what we could find. Only an hour and a half from us is little Sandpoint, ID. We found so much fun there, and ended the trip with time at the beach.

There was still snow on the beach. The waves were rough. The wind was howling. It was absolutely pouring rain. And yet-we ran, jumped, through rocks, splashed, and meandered on that sandy beach. We daydreamed while staring into the mountains. And this Mama literally squealed with excitement when we got out of the car. I didn't care that it was 40 degrees. I didn't care the sun hasn't been out in days. It was there, on that sand, that I had the freedom to be a kid with my kids.

Sometimes it's just a small adventure that feeds the soul. Today, I am happy. Today, I am whole. Today, two nuggets are filled up too. :)
