Dear Christmas

Dear Christmas,
You bring such joy to our family. From the day we cut down our perfect tree to the day we run upstairs to see if Santa came, we are filled with joy.

Baking sugar cookies, frosting sugar cookies, experimenting with different flavors, listening to Christmas tunes, belting out "jingle bells", Christmas programs with Baby Jesus, and sprinkles everywhere. These are a few of our favorite Christmas things.

We love to drive around real slowly and look for the most beautiful light show, or if you're the nuggets-the most beautiful blow up Micky Mouse Santa.

There is a sparkle in our eye for about 25 days as we carefully open the days of the advent calendar and do our best to spread cheer with our random acts of kindness.

We have our grand finale on Christmas Eve with a beautiful candlelit service and some of our all-time favorite hymns. And finally, Santa comes...and brings the favorite requested gifts.

As I reflect on another holiday season I can't help but be filled to the brim with joy, gratitude, and pure contentment.  But most of all, thankfulness that my babies remember the real reason for the season.

Love,
J
