Merry and Bright
O holy night, the stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth;
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
'Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world1 rejoices,
yonder breaks a new and glorious morn;

Our Christmas was filled with Merry, filled with Bright, and filled with Magic.
Blessed doesn't even begin to describe our lives.
Two beautiful nuggets, consistently reminding us of the magic of Christmas, the magic of the reason for the season, and helping us slow down and take it all in.
Jax's bright blues wide open as Daddy brought the tree in - "OOOOHHHHH" he said, as his face told the story of his wonder.
Tatum's sparkly eyes as she ran up the stairs every morning for 25 days, "Where's Zoodle?" as she looked for the elf on the shelf.
The tearing of wrapping paper, the quiet disappointment when she realized it was a book...those are the wonders of the season.
But as I sat to the side watching the nuggets open gifts, as I sat at the table eating Christmas dinner, I couldn't help but be awestruck with the amount of blessings we have.
I intentionally kept the camera put away for most of Christmas, so I could enjoy "the moment." While a part of me is wondering how the hell I'm going to make a "Thank You" card without any photos, the other part of me is feeling filled with joy as I remember those moments so vividly.
Merry Christmas.
